The Program

Mini Minds and Feet is a specially designed program for children aged 3 to 5 that blends fun, learning, and movement! At this critical stage of development, children are not only exploring their physical capabilities but also embarking on their educational journey. Developed to align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, our program nurtures young minds and bodies by integrating football-themed motor skills activities with foundational literacy and numeracy learning.

Through engaging games and exercises, children will develop essential gross motor skills such as balance, coordination, agility, and spatial awareness. Simultaneously, they’ll build early cognitive skills, including letter and number recognition, all seamlessly woven into playful, football-based activities. Kicking, running, and ball control are paired with creative learning experiences to make education enjoyable and active.

The Mini Minds and Feet aims to create a holistic impact, preparing children for school, social settings, and a healthy, active lifestyle.

Develop Age-Appropriate Physical Literacy

Goal: To ensure that by the end of the program, each child demonstrates improved fundamental motor skills, including enhanced balance, coordination, agility, and spatial awareness, which are critical for future athletic development.

Expanded Outcome: Children will show measurable improvements in core motor skills, such as the ability to run with more stability, change direction with balance, and kick, pass and trap a ball with better control. These outcomes lay the foundation for participation in more complex physical activities and sports as they grow older. Furthermore, these improvements will positively impact their overall physical health and readiness for school playground activities.

Promote a Fun and Engaging Introduction to Football

Goal: To introduce children to the basics of football in a playful and enjoyable way, ensuring that every child can perform simple skills such as kicking, running, and ball control with growing confidence.

Expanded Outcome: By the program’s conclusion, children will be able to perform basic football skills like kicking a stationary ball, dribbling over short distances, and working with peers during simple football games. The focus is on fun, ensuring children associate football with enjoyment, which could inspire them to continue engaging in the sport as they get older.

Improve Early Cognitive and Academic Skills

Goal: To integrate basic literacy and numeracy activities into each session, with the aim that by the program’s conclusion, children can recognize letters, count to ten, and understand simple shapes, thereby boosting their early cognitive development.

Expanded Outcome: Children will engage in football-based learning games that incorporate educational elements like counting the number of passes, identifying letters on cones, and following shapes during footwork drills. By the end of the program, participants will show greater familiarity with the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colours blending physical activity with early academic learning in a way that enhances both.

Mini Minds and Feet is perfect for daycares and kindergartens.

It provides a safe, supportive environment where children thrive intellectually, socially, and physically. By aligning our curriculum with key educational frameworks, we ensure that each child’s development is guided by proven principles, fostering confidence, self-esteem, and a love of learning while laying the foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle.
